Job Description
This role can be hired as a Grade 18 or 19; candidate experience will determine grade.
The Consumer Marketing Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving the consumer growth strategy for a leading brand in Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). This individual will lead the development and execution of insight-driven, omnichannel initiatives that expand condition awareness, reach high-priority patient segments, and accelerate brand growth.
This role sits at the center of a highly matrixed organization and partners closely with Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Data & Analytics, Sales, and agency partners to translate complex clinical and consumer insights into compelling, patient-centric strategies that are aligned with regulatory requirements and on-label messaging. The Marketing Manager will also serve as the lead across media planning, investment, and performance optimization for all channels, ensuring strong execution, efficient spend, and measurable impact across the brand ecosystem.
This is a high-visibility role with the opportunity to directly impact patient outcomes, shape market growth, and influence the future of the brand.
  • Media Strategy, Planning & Optimization: Own media strategy, planning, investment, and performance optimization across all channels, including digital, audio, OLV, banners, CRM, and other paid media, using data, competitive insights, and test-and-learn approaches to improve efficiency, engagement, and ROI
  • Campaign Leadership: Partner in campaign strategy and execution, ensuring media plans are aligned to business objectives, audience needs, and brand priorities
  • Audience Strategy & Targeting: Identify, define, and prioritize high-value patient and consumer segments using research, data, and analytics to inform targeting, personalization, and media strategy
  • Condition Awareness Strategy: Lead the development and execution of disease education and condition awareness initiatives to expand the diagnosed and treatable patient population
  • Insight Generation & Activation: Leverage research, analytics, and market intelligence to uncover actionable insights and translate them into differentiated messaging, ensuring alignment with clinical data and regulatory guidelines
  • Performance Measurement: Track media and campaign performance, manage reporting, and identify optimization opportunities through ongoing analysis of key metrics and KPIs
  • Competitive Monitoring: Assess market dynamics and competitive activity to identify opportunities for growth, differentiation, and media effectiveness improvements
  • CRM and Integrated Channel Support: Partner on CRM strategy and reporting, ensuring consistency across customer communications and integrated campaign execution
  • Agency Leadership: Set strategic direction for multiple agency partners and ensure high-quality, innovative, and compliant execution across channels, within established timelines and budgets
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner effectively across Medical, Regulatory, Sales, Analytics and other stakeholders to deliver aligned, compliant, and impactful initiatives, including development of messaging that is consistent with label requirements
  • Patient-Centric Innovation: Incorporate patient and advocacy insights, including learnings from patient and field immersions where applicable, into all aspects of strategy and execution
  • Field Integration: Collaborate with sales leadership to integrate field insights into marketing strategies and ensure strong execution at the local level
  • Brand Communication: Clearly communicate brand vision, strategy, and objectives to cross-functional teams, agency partners, and sales leadership to drive alignment and execution
  • Budget & Performance Management: Manage budgets responsibly and measure campaign effectiveness, optimizing investments to maximize ROI
  • Market Research & Test-and-Learn: Provide input into market research and lead test-and-learn pilots to improve media efficiency, audience engagement, and campaign performance
  • HCP and Consumer Support: Support selected consumer and HCP initiatives where appropriate, including efficiency-focused projects, sponsorships, conventions, and other opportunities based on business need and capacity

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant experience in brand or consumer marketing, media, agency, or omnichannel marketing (healthcare/pharma preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience leading media planning, investment management, and performance optimization across multiple channels
  • DTC and omnichannel marketing expertise across digital, audio, OLV, banners, and emerging channels
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and manage agency partners
  • Strong understanding of core marketing fundamentals, including positioning, creative development, and media optimization
  • Experience using data, analytics, and performance insights to inform targeting, campaign strategy, and budget allocation
  • Ability to translate complex clinical or technical information into compliant, compelling consumer messaging
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset and strong ownership orientation

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industries
  • Experience with audience segmentation, targeting, and data-driven media strategies
  • Familiarity with performance reporting tools, media measurement platforms, and optimization approaches
  • Experience leading condition awareness or disease education campaigns
  • Exposure to patient advocacy and incorporation of patient insights into strategy
  • Experience managing multiple external agencies (creative, media, digital, CRM, analytics)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and contribute to strategic and tactical planning
  • Experience supporting or informing media planning and campaign measurement approaches
