Collaborating closely with other departments, the team ensures that marketing strategies align with business objectives, influence product development, and keep us competitive in a dynamic market.
Your Next Pour: The Opportunity
We are looking to add a Manager, Consumer Insights to our Consumer Insights & Analytics team, to serve as strategic thought partner and trusted advisor to cross functional teams across Marketing, Innovation, and Sales. This role will help shape the consumer insights learning agenda, and execute strategic and actionable research that can influence key business decisions for our portfolio of brands.
This individual contributor role will independently own key insights workstreams, partner closely with stakeholders, and leverage both internal data and external research partners to ensure brand strategies are grounded in consumer understanding.
This role operates in a hybrid environment, with 3 days per week in the downtown Chicago office.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Lead portfolio brand equity tracking - serve as point person for ongoing brand equity tracking for TBG brands and competition and combine with other sources to uncover shifts in consumer sentiment for our brands and categories.
  • Support insights learning agendas - support the development and activation of consumer learning plans to address TBG's most important knowledge gaps that address top priorities, leveraging both internal resources and external partners.
  • Monitor consumer & market trends - continuously identify the consumer and cultural trends having impact on our categories and identify implications for our brands and innovation (i.e. shifting preferences, emerging flavors, breakthrough packaging, compelling claims, health and wellness behaviors, etc).
  • Impact through insights reporting & storytelling - develop high impact reports, presentations, and narratives that clearly communicate strategic opportunities to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Manage external partners - effectively partner with various research agencies and hold them to high standards of execution and delivery.

The Perfect Blend: Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, or related fields within the CPG industry. Experience within an in-house consumer insights team required. Food or beverage industry experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of quantitative research methods, including custom surveys, DIY research platforms, brand equity tracking, panel data analysis, etc; some level of qualitative research experience a plus.
  • Experience with syndicated consumer and market data platforms (e.g., Circana, Nielsen, Numerator, or similar tools).
  • Ability to synthesize multiple data sources and effectively communicate (written and verbal) recommendations to influence business decisions.
  • Strong planning and organization skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Independent self-starter, comfortable jumping into new projects with some level of ambiguity.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Continuously seek to deepen understanding and stay on top of ongoing shifts in consumer behavior and the market research industry

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Marketing Research, Data Science, Psychology, Business, or related field
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must be located in the Chicago, IL surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment
  • Willingness to adapt and thrive in a blended work environment with 3-days in office, seamlessly transitioning between remote work and in-office operations
