Overview
The Marketing Manager - Field Marketing serves as the marketing lead for grand opening and focus store initiatives across new and existing Sprouts markets. This role is responsible for developing and executing localized marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and store traffic while serving as a subject matter expert on local market dynamics, consumer behavior, competitive activity, and community opportunities.
Working cross-functionally with Real Estate, Store Operations, Merchandising, Brand, PR, Media, and external agency partners, the Marketing Manager translates market intelligence into actionable marketing plans and recommendations. This role is accountable for campaign execution, performance measurement, and continuous optimization to support Sprouts' growth objectives and deliver strong new store performance. #LI-AD1
Essential Functions
The Marketing Manager - Field Marketing serves as the marketing lead for grand opening and focus store initiatives across new and existing Sprouts markets. This role is responsible for developing and executing localized marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and store traffic while serving as a subject matter expert on local market dynamics, consumer behavior, competitive activity, and community opportunities.
Working cross-functionally with Real Estate, Store Operations, Merchandising, Brand, PR, Media, and external agency partners, the Marketing Manager translates market intelligence into actionable marketing plans and recommendations. This role is accountable for campaign execution, performance measurement, and continuous optimization to support Sprouts' growth objectives and deliver strong new store performance.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements
  • Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies supporting grand openings, focus stores, relocations, remodels, and other field marketing initiatives.
  • Serve as the local market expert, leveraging customer insights, competitive intelligence, demographic data, and community knowledge to inform marketing recommendations.
  • Gather, synthesize, and analyze internal and external data sources to develop business cases and actionable marketing strategies.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and agency partners to execute integrated marketing campaigns across paid, owned, earned, social, community, and in-store channels.
  • Recommend market-specific media strategy, activation plans, audience targeting, timing, and messaging to maximize store awareness and traffic.
  • Monitor campaign and store-opening performance against key objectives and KPIs, providing insights and optimization recommendations.
  • Conduct post-opening and post-campaign analyses to identify opportunities, trends, and learnings that improve future performance.
  • Collaborate with Real Estate, Operations, Merchandising, Finance, Brand, and agency partners to ensure alignment and successful execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain expertise in retail marketing trends, competitor activity, and emerging consumer behaviors to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Support the development and refinement of field marketing best practices, processes, and tools that drive operational excellence.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Field Marketing professionals, providing ongoing performance management, development planning, and career growth opportunities.
  • Establish team goals, priorities, and performance expectations aligned with company and department objectives.
  • Present marketing strategies, campaign results, and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support testing, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives designed to enhance marketing effectiveness and ROI.
