Mentor Program Compensation Addendum (for Design Consultants)

Purpose:

To recognize and compensate Design Consultants (DCs) who take on temporary mentorship responsibilities while maintaining their primary role. This role supports the onboarding and training of new hires without altering the employee's official job title or core compensation structure.

Structure & Administration:

Eligibility & Qualification Requirements:

  • Must be an active Design Consultant in good standing.
  • Must apply or be selected for the mentorship program based on business need (e.g., size of training class).
  • Must complete any required mentor training (if applicable).
  • Minimum of 6 months proven success as a design consultant as defined by company minimums, currently 28 % close rate and RPA 4500 on the 90-day track.
  • Deep understanding of the company's values, mission, and strategic goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
  • A passion for developing and empowering others.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and foster a positive team environment.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in the success of others.

Mentorship Term:

  • Mentorship assignments are temporary and reviewed on a monthly or project-class basis.
  • Employees may enter or exit the mentor role as business needs or personal development goals evolve.
  • The assignment does not alter the employee's job title or base pay.

Compensation:

0-250k Mentor 2% / Mentee 8%

250-500k in sales Mentor 1%/Mentee 9%

  • Payment is contingent on:
    • Active mentoring during the period.
    • Completion of mentorship responsibilities as defined by leadership (e.g., onboarding support, shadowing, check-ins).
    • Meeting regular DC performance metrics during the mentorship period.
  • Bonuses are processed as part of regular payroll but separate from weekly commissions to ensure accuracy and simplicity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Each mentor will be responsible for supporting 1-2 Newly trained Design Consultants for their first $500k in net business.
  • Establish and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with assigned mentees.
  • Provide one-on-one and group mentoring sessions focused on career planning, goal setting, and professional development.
  • Lead recurring weekly mentoring calls in rotation with other fellow mentors.
  • Share in-depth knowledge of the company's products, services, and culture.
  • Assist mentees in navigating internal processes and building their professional networks.
  • Act as a role model for ethical and effective sales practices.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to identify high-potential employees and support their growth trajectories.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the sales onboarding process.

Program Exit:

  • Employees may voluntarily opt out with notice.
  • Management may discontinue mentorship assignment at any time based on performance, business needs, or training volume changes.
