Job description

General Manager

The General Manager is responsible for the overall financial performance and operational success of a designated area. This role ensures adherence to company policies, drives customer satisfaction and compliance, manages resources effectively, and leads teams to deliver projects safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support construction and project management teams, including supervisors, managers, and project managers
  • Establish and implement processes to ensure successful project execution from initiation through completion
  • Oversee budgets, revenue, costs, materials, equipment, and production schedules
  • Prepare and review weekly revenue and cost reports and ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Prioritize projects based on customer needs, escalations, and resource availability
  • Resolve project disputes and negotiate solutions as needed
  • Partner with operations and back-office teams to meet internal and external reporting requirements
  • Evaluate employee performance, manage staffing and assignments, support retention, and develop team skills
  • Interface with customers, vendors, and subcontractors while identifying opportunities for growth
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with safety standards and performance metrics
