Job description

Summary/Objective
Works under the supervision of one of the school administrators to provide administrative support to the assigned department head.
Essential Functions
  • Schedules and organizes meetings, conferences, school/department activities and interviews.
  • Establishes, maintains, develops and updates various filing systems for the administrator(s).
  • Organizes and prioritizes information and calls.
  • Periodically answers phones for the assigned school administrator, answering questions and responding to various inquiries.
  • Works with outside staffing agencies to fill in teacher absences with the proper substitutes.
  • Communicates attendance issues to the payroll/HR department.
  • Works independently and as a team on special projects that are assigned.
  • Types and designs various correspondence.
  • Responsible to coordinate and process new student enrollment.
  • Proficient with Google suite, word, excel, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Excellent grammar and spelling.
  • Orders various supplies as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
