Job description

Community Physician Group, part of Community Children's in beautiful Missoula, Montana, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Surgeon to join our growing, collaborative team. This full-time position offers a rewarding balance of professional purpose and personal time to enjoy one of the most picturesque and recreation-rich regions in the country.


Position Highlights
  • Flexible Full-Time Schedule: 15 days/month or 183 days/year
  • Full-Spectrum Pediatric Surgical Care: Inpatient consultations, surgical management, outpatient clinics, and 24/7 on-call coverage
  • Supportive, Multidisciplinary Team: Collaborate with pediatricians, subspecialists, and visiting experts from Seattle Children’s
  • Advanced Facility:
    • 23+ bed Level IIIB NICU
    • Small PICU
    • Level IV Trauma Center
  • Dedicated Support: Pediatric anesthesiology and Nurse Practitioner assistance in the surgery office
  • Academic Involvement: Mentor University of Washington pediatric residents and local family practice residents
  • Engaging Clinical Setting: Participate in our pediatric sedation program and partner with visiting pediatric urologists from Seattle Children’s
Clinic & Call Schedule
  • Monday–Friday schedule split with a second pediatric surgeon (on-call weeks)
  • One dedicated block OR day per week (with add-ons as needed)
  • 15 days per month of hospital rounding (during call)
Qualifications
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Surgery
