Job description

JL Construction Corp of Springfield, MA is looking to hire a full-time Construction Superintendent.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT
As a Superintendent, you play an essential and lead role in all phases of the construction project from planning to completion. You will monitor the daily operations of our projects closely with an emphasis on budgeting, timeline and health/safety compliance. You enjoy the variety inherent in your job and receive satisfaction from collaboration and completing projects efficiently and within budget, all while helping JL Construction to continue to build on their reputation in the field for quality work.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT
  • Degree in construction engineering management, civil engineering, or a related engineering field, preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in the field of excavation/horizontal construction
  • Ability to interpret bid documents, plans and all other related project/construction documents
  • Knowledge of local quality, safety and health for construction job sites (MA/ CT). OSHA Certified.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn industry-specific software programs quickly
  • Must possess exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel locally to various job sites/meetings as needed

WORK SCHEDULE
This full-time exempt, salaried position typically works days, Monday - Friday.
The Construction Superintendent position earns a competitive salary based on experience. We also offer generous benefits, including medical and a 401(k) plan.
