Site Supervisor – Lead Field Operations and Subcontractor Success

Job Overview:

  • Company: Pillar Construction Company LLC.

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $75,000 - $110,000 per year (Salary + Commission).

  • Location: Onsite (Sylvan Lake, MI).

  • Job/Employment Type: Full-Time.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday.

  • Project Scope: Commercial Construction, Real Estate Development, and Tenant Improvement.

  • Mandatory Licenses & Certifications: None Required.

The Opportunity: You will serve as the primary onsite leader, ensuring every project phase is executed with precision and professionalism. This role offers the chance to join a growing family company at the ground level, where your ability to command a schedule and build lasting relationships directly impacts our shared success.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Orchestrate daily site activities to maintain strict adherence to project timelines and milestones.

  • Cultivate productive, professional relationships with subcontractors and municipal inspectors to ensure seamless project flow.

  • Interpret architectural and structural plans with high accuracy to guide field execution and prevent costly errors.

  • Execute hands-on completion of punch list items to guarantee a flawless final product for the client.

  • Document project progress through detailed daily reports to maintain clear communication with the operations team.

  • Resolve onsite logistical challenges and technical obstacles immediately to keep the field team moving forward.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in onsite construction supervision or field leadership.

  • Proven ability to manage and motivate subcontractors while maintaining high quality standards.

  • Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and technical specifications.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing project schedules and meeting critical deadlines.

  • Technical aptitude to personally handle minor repairs and finish work as needed to close out projects.
