Job Title: Construction Laborer

Wohlsen is a leading construction firm dedicated to delivering high-quality projects across the Baltimore Region with a proven track record of excellence, we take pride in our commitment to safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork.

Position Overview:
As a Construction Laborer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our carpentry team in various tasks essential to the construction process. Reporting directly to the Carpentry Supervisor, you will be responsible for a range of hands-on activities including building, demolition, material handling, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unloading trucks and organizing materials on site.
  • Assisting carpenters with tasks as directed.
  • Performing demolition work as required.
  • Digging holes for signs and other miscellaneous needs.
  • Conducting final cleaning at project completion.
  • Signaling operators of construction equipment to ensure smooth operation.
  • Lifting, carrying, and holding building materials and tools for carpenters.
  • Cleaning tools, equipment, materials, and work areas.
  • Erecting scaffolding, shoring, and bracing as needed.
  • Mopping and sweeping job site to maintain cleanliness.
  • Collaborating with fellow field employees and subcontractors.
  • Executing various construction activities crucial to project completion.
  • Attending mandatory safety training sessions.
  • Utilizing materials like steam or sand for surface cleaning, coating, or sealing.
  • Demonstrating a commitment to safe construction practices.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of one year of successful work experience in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift and transport tools and materials at construction sites in all phases of construction.
