Assistant Construction Manager
Bilfinger Industrial Services Inc., known as a leading provider of complex comprehensive industrial services, is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager at our Green Bay, WI site location. This position requires a self-motivated individual to perform the detailed planning and scheduling of self-performed construction work, prepare bid packages for subcontract work, and ensure work is executed in line with safety, cost, schedule, and quality targets, as well as corporate and client expectations.
Responsibilities
  • Review and input to engineering information packages for constructability and completeness
  • Integrate multiple engineering information packages and develop detailed execution plans and other deliverables for the field, supervision, and subcontracts
  • Facilitate and input to the development of project safety plans and then support safety in the field
  • Facilitate/develop labor and material estimates, material takeoffs and enter requisitions
  • Actively manage cost on projects; responsibilities include creating cost reports, updating cost trends/projections, and processing change orders
  • Schedule and coordinate construction crews and track and report progress
  • Interface with the Owner, engineers, field supervision and subcontractors

Requirements
  • The position is an entry level position. The ideal candidate will have a construction management degree (associate or bachelor's) and relevant internship or co-op experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and organizational skills are required
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project
  • Understanding of Lean Construction/Six Sigma Principles (Continuous Improvement, Target Value Delivery, LPS®) preferred
  • Experience with the integration of Artificial Intelligence (Copilot) into daily work processes is a plus
