Job Summary
Earth Work Solutions is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our growing team. This position is responsible for leading field operations on heavy civil dirt work construction projects throughout Wyoming and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience managing crews, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all daily field operations on assigned projects.
  • Lead and supervise field personnel, subcontractors, and equipment resources.
  • Coordinate project activities with Project Managers, clients, inspectors, and vendors.
  • Plan work activities to maintain project schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, job specific company regulations, and project specifications.
  • Conduct daily safety meetings, job hazard analyses, and field inspections.
  • Monitor quality control and ensure work meets project requirements.
  • Order and coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, production tracking, and project documentation.
  • Mentor and develop foremen and field employees.
  • Complete daily time cards for employees.
  • Address field issues and implement solutions to keep projects moving efficiently.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of superintendent experience in heavy civil dirt work construction.
  • Experience with earthwork, excavation, grading, utilities, road construction, landfills, and site development.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and project schedules.
  • Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to travel and work out of town during the week as project needs require.

Preferred Qualifications
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • MSHA certification.
  • Experience on prevailing wage, union, municipal, industrial, or energy projects.
  • GPS machine control and grade control knowledge.
