Coastal Marine Construction, LLC is actively seeking a results-driven Civil Construction Superintendent to take charge of field operations across complex marine construction sites. This leadership role will oversee site crews and subcontractors involved in building piers, docks, bulkheads, pile driving, and other critical infrastructure. With a strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and quality, the Civil Construction Superintendent will be the boots-on-the-ground leader ensuring projects stay on track and exceed expectations. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations at marine construction sites, managing crews, equipment, and subcontractors
  • Lead morning safety meetings, job hazard analysis, and enforce all safety standards and regulations
  • Coordinate construction schedules, equipment mobilization, and material logistics
  • Supervise tasks such as pile driving, dredging, cofferdam and concrete work, and marine lifts
  • Ensure all work complies with technical specifications, environmental permits, and project quality requirements
  • Serve as the field liaison with Project Managers, Engineers, and Quality Control staff
  • Monitor and maintain marine assets including barges, cranes, and tugs
  • Keep precise records including daily logs, reports, and production metrics
  • Troubleshoot site challenges and prevent delays or risks with proactive solutions
  • Train, mentor, and manage crew performance while upholding high standards of work ethic


Qualifications

  • 8+ years of heavy civil or marine construction experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role
  • In-depth knowledge of marine construction practices, equipment, and compliance requirements
  • Proficient in reading and implementing construction drawings and marine project plans
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities
  • Capable of managing multiple crews and coordinating subcontractors
  • OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred
  • Comfortable working outdoors in variable weather and willing to work extended hours as needed
  • Flexibility to travel or temporarily relocate to project sites


Preferred Experience

  • Marine projects involving piers, docks, cofferdams, offshore foundations, or wharves
  • Understanding of environmental permitting and regulatory compliance for coastal projects
  • Experience in underwater construction, dredging, and heavy marine lifts
