Job Summary:
As an Xponential Fitness Director of Construction Support, you will be the primary point of contact for our franchisees, with responsibility to guide and support them to deliver on time and on brand. Projects start in preconstruction and extend to design, permitting, construction and opening. Key responsibilities throughout the project life cycle include preconstruction, due diligence, design coordination, construction progress tracking, vendor procurement, equipment delivery + installation process oversight. Key additional efforts include guiding and educating parties unfamiliar with the Xponential process, working with internal operations staff, and maintaining a positive attitude among the team – all key ingredients to support new franchisee studio’s opening in accordance with Xponential Development protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage franchise partners to stay actively engaged in each new studio opening, holding them to performance standards and opening timeframes in relation to their development schedules.
  • Maintains a positive influence among the team and with franchisees.
  • Provide beginning-to-end training, management and support to our franchise partners through the real estate procurement and development processes to doors open
  • Ability to read and understand Test Fit floor plans for compliance with brand standards.
  • Review Construction Documents (CD’s) for adherence to project’s Brand + Design Standards
  • Complete high level review General Contractor bids
  • Review construction progress on a weekly basis to confirm progress, coordinate with vendors and ensure overall project schedule. Requires regular communication with GC and review of weekly construction photos against GC schedules
  • Maintain weekly contact with all assigned projects through completion, assuring high frequency of touch points and procedural reinforcement from start to finish
  • Ability to present and train our studio opening processes to small-to-medium group audiences, such as Franchise Owner Training and individual owners.
  • Ability to work in a delegated environment. This role works in support of the franchisee and in parallel with the franchisee’s architect and general contractor, we are not directly engaged in the management of franchisee construction.
  • Maintain detailed accurate records for each project in Xponential project management software(s), ensuring documentation integrity across all projects
  • Assure vendor compliance where required vendors are assigned
  • Attend weekly meetings as assigned: Development, Real Estate, and Brand Operations team meetings to report on pipeline progress for all active projects
  • Xponential Fitness is an equipment program reseller, therefore this role must be able to create location-specific equipment invoices, verify critical data and ensure invoices are accurate for each project
  • Perform month-end administrative and data entry close out procedures
  • Collaborate with Xponential Team members for assistance as needed.
  • Additional projects and tasks assigned, as needed
Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years work experience in design or construction coordination, or similar role
  • Specialized skill and understanding of construction management process, including knowledge of construction procedures, materials and timelines
  • Project management experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with the fitness industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast pace, results-oriented culture with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to manage, direct and control the activities of others
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment. Able to meet in the office as needed.
  • Conflict resolution and conflict management experience
  • Excellent time management and self-management, highly organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint). Familiarity with Smartsheet preferred.
  • Comfortable presenting to and directing meetings of large groups, both in-person and virtually through calls and webinars.
