Position Overview

Market Contractors is seeking a Site Superintendent based in the Portland, OR / Vancouver, WA metro area. This individual will oversee day-to-day field operations on construction projects throughout the region while also supporting travel assignments as project needs require.


The ideal candidate is a hands-on construction leader who leads with integrity, values teamwork, and takes pride in delivering quality work. This role will be responsible for managing subcontractors, coordinating schedules, maintaining jobsite safety, and ensuring projects are completed on time and to company standards.


Responsibilities

  • Lead daily construction operations on active jobsites.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.
  • Maintain project schedules and drive project milestones.
  • Enforce safety standards and company policies.
  • Conduct quality-control inspections and ensure work meets project specifications.
  • Review construction drawings and project documents.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and project documentation.
  • Identify and resolve field issues to minimize delays and maintain productivity.
  • Coordinate material deliveries and equipment needs.
  • Travel to project locations as needed.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Site Superintendent, Superintendent, or similar field leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices and jobsite management.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-first attitude.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel when required.
