Position Overview
If you are pursuing a degree in Architecture, Construction or Engineering as well as possessing strong interpersonal skills, technical problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, and enjoy working with in a fast-paced innovative environment apply for this career opportunity. Our VDC coordinators facilitate the spatial coordination of the underground utilities and overhead and in-wall mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems, model any scope gaps per contract, and provide VDC assistance to the project team by means of visualizations and integration into the field. VDC coordinators augment virtual reality to physical reality to help projects ensure construction is done the Vaughn way "Do it Once, Do it Right".
Duties/Responsibilities

   BIM coordinator will oversee several individuals at any given time and make sure a BIM coordination schedule is adhered to. Hold weekly coordination meetings.
   Produce and manage a BIM Execution Plan.
   Work within multiple design and construction software to produce accurate drawings for field layout purposes.
   You will be responsible for training team members on how to use BIM software, as well as troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
   Oversee data exchange and collaboration issues.
   Create coordination issues and track them to completion.
   Manage an automated process that can help ensure tasks are completed within the time projects define and what model objects need to be exchanged in each model along with all the right data each team member needs.

Education and Training

   two-year degree in construction, engineering, architecture, or related field.
   Five + years of experience with BIM in the construction industry is preferred.
   Experience building healthcare, higher education, and/or laboratory projects preferred.
   Experience in public speaking and managerial roles.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

   Knowledge in Autodesk Software (Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks)
   Knowledge in Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360)
   Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
   Experience with Blue Beam Studio.
