Team members work closely with supervisors and skilled trades to support projects from start to finish. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site General Laborer role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The General Laborer supports construction and engineering projects by performing a variety of physical tasks such as loading and unloading materials, site cleanup, and basic demolition. Daily responsibilities may include using hand and power tools under supervision, assisting with trenching or grading, setting up and breaking down job sites, and helping move equipment and supplies. The role also involves following safety procedures, wearing required protective equipment, and reporting hazards or issues to supervisors. General Laborers collaborate with crew members and may be asked to perform other duties as needed to support project timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Comfort using basic hand tools and power tools, or willingness to learn proper and safe operation of equipment.
  • Strong focus on safety, including following instructions, using personal protective equipment, and complying with company and regulatory safety standards.
  • Reliable work habits, including punctuality, consistent attendance, and the ability to work as part of a team under direct supervision.
  • Basic communication skills to understand directions, ask questions when needed, and coordinate tasks with supervisors and crew members.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required; prior experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation to job sites in the San Francisco Bay Area are beneficial.
  • Willingness to learn new skills, follow company procedures, and grow within a construction and engineering environment.
