NOW HIRING: LICENSED SECURITY GUARD – CONSTRUCTION SITE
Location: Suffolk County, NY
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time (W-2)

Monday - Friday Day Shift

Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Licensed Security Guard to provide on-site security at an active construction site in Suffolk County. The ideal candidate will maintain a safe environment by enforcing site rules, monitoring access, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to the construction site (workers, visitors, deliveries)
  • Conduct regular patrols of the site to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
  • Enforce site safety policies and procedures at all times
  • Maintain daily activity logs and incident reports
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, or safety hazards
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors, contractors, and management
  • Monitor surveillance systems (if applicable)

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid New York State Security Guard License
  • Must comply with training requirements under the New York State Division of Licensing Services security guard training requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong communication and observation skills
  • Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods
  • Reliable transportation

Safety Requirements (Mandatory):

  • Strict adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) construction site safety standards
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, including:
    • Hard hat
    • High-visibility vest
    • Steel-toe boots
    • Safety glasses (as required)
  • Awareness of common construction hazards (heavy machinery, open excavations, electrical risks)
  • Ability to follow emergency procedures, including evacuation and incident reporting
  • Maintain a safe distance from active construction zones unless authorized
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions or violations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in construction site security
