Job description

Overview

Rust Constructors is seeking a talented Site Foreman to be based in Guthrie, Kentucky. This position will initially support field work related to the City of Guthrie Interim Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion project andwill lead the field crew, coordinate subcontractors, and help ensure that all work is completed safely, on time, and up to quality standards. You will serve as the critical link between the field and our management team.

Rust Constructors Inc. is a full-service, merit-shop construction and maintenance company providing life-cycle services for the mining, power, industrial, infrastructure, and government markets. Our services include construction, construction management, construction consulting; testing, checkout, start-up; and plant services including total plant maintenance, shutdowns, turnarounds, production support and technical support. Rust is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shimmick Construction Company, Inc.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervise Crews: Direct day-to-day tasks, assign work to workers, and monitor productivity.
  • Perform Hands-on Labor: Directly execute trade work alongside the crew.
  • Enforce Safety: Lead daily safety briefings and ensure the entire team strictly follows company safety policies.
  • Report Progress: Communicate daily updates, delays, and staffing needs to the Project Management.
  • Manage Materials: Monitor tool inventory, request supplies, and coordinate on-site equipment usage. Requests and coordinates movement of tools, materials and equipment in accordance with established procedures and lead times.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Seven (7) years of relevant construction experience with at least 2 years in a Foreman role.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Training certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Demonstrated Equivalent (GED).
  • Technical Skills: Expert proficiency with trade tools, strong understanding of concrete construction procedures, equipment use, and blueprint reading.

The rate for this position is $37.00 per hour.
