About Us
Kilgore Industries is a full-service commercial MEP contractor specializing in the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for large-scale construction projects. We are known for delivering high-quality workmanship, safe job sites, and reliable project performance. We are seeking motivated new graduates who want to start their careers in construction quality control.
Position Overview
The Entry-Level QA/QC Inspector will support Kilgore Industries’ quality assurance and quality control efforts across commercial MEP projects in the Dallas area. This role is designed for recent or soon-to-graduate Texas A amp;M students who are detail‑oriented, eager to learn MEP construction, and comfortable working on active job sites.
  • Key Responsibilities
    • Conduct inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations
    • Verify installations meet project specifications, construction drawings, and applicable codes
    • Document deficiencies, track corrective actions, and update QA/QC logs
    • Support equipment startup, functional testing, and MEP commissioning processes
    • Assist with reviewing drawings, submittals, and specifications
    • Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and field crews to resolve quality issues
    • Maintain accurate documentation for project closeout and client turnover packages
    • Adhere to company and site safety procedures at all times
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Distribution, or a related field
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify installation issues
    • Interest in MEP systems and commercial construction
    • Good communication and documentation skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; willingness to learn construction software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk)
    • Ability to travel for work when needed
  • Preferred (Not Required)
    • Internship or project experience with MEP systems, commercial construction, or building technologies
    • Ability to read mechanical, electrical, or plumbing drawings
