Redblack Safety is a construction safety consulting firm focused on supporting complex commercial, infrastructure, and mission-critical projects across Northern Virginia. Our work includes data centers, public-sector, and high-performance construction environments where safety is critical to project success.

Our team is committed to delivering practical, field-driven safety leadership, not just compliance, while partnering closely with clients to ensure safe and efficient project execution.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced senior safety professional to join our team. This individual will be responsible for leading construction safety efforts across active job sites, while overseeing the planning, implementation, and execution of comprehensive safety programs.

The Director of Construction Safety will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring all safety standards are met while supporting overall project success. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and field expertise, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced construction environments.

As a newly established firm, this role offers a unique opportunity to take on a leadership position within our Northern Virginia operations. The selected candidate will play a key role in building our local presence, supporting business development efforts, and helping to grow and mentor a high-performing safety team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead construction safety programs on active job sites
• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and procedures
• Interface with general contractors, owners, and regulatory agencies
• Conduct audits, inspections, and incident investigations
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies throughout project lifecycle
• Support proposal efforts and client development initiatives
• Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring safety staff
• Facilitate safety meetings and coordinate with project stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety regulations

• Public-sector or aviation project experience
• Experience serving as SSHO or leading site safety programs
