Position:Engineer/Project Mgr (Commercial Construction)

Pay Rate:$55.00 - $61.50 per hour (W2 Only)
** Must be LOCAL or willing to RELOCATE at your own expense**
** This is role is 100% ONSITE, no remote work offered**
Engineer/Construction Prj Mgr will focus on modifications and construction activities within paint booths. They will execute and manage paint booth modification projects, including structural and airflow improvements. This includes working with sheet metal structures and large components inside the booth environment
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Investigate project feasibility, scope, schedule and budget.
Create scope of work, bid package and project specifications.
Review technical drawings, provide feedback, negotiate changes.
Evaluate safety compliance to local and national codes.
Collaborate with 3rd party Safety Compliance Contractors.
Collaborate with multiple groups to design and install equipment and meet project milestones.
Supervise contractors in a green-field or brown-field work environment.
Coordinate installation with skilled trades, affiliate companies, engineers and equipment manufacturers.
Develop countermeasures for project delays for timely project completion.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
** Must have hands-on engineering background combined with trade experience (practical, execution-focused).
** Must have Project Management experience, preferably managing projects valued at $500K or more.
** Must have Commercial construction experience
3+ years manufacturing environment.
3+ years project management
2+ years Technical Drawing review experience.
Review/modification of drawing in AutoCAD proficiency.
Bid Spec development, Contractor negotiation.
Microsoft Office Software proficient (Excel, PowerPoint and Word etc.).
EDUCATION: BS In Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, and other relevant disciplines), Technical Trader Certification or equivalent experience.
Other Requirements:
10%: Travel - Domestic/International (Canada, Mexico)
20%: Over-time - which covers weekends, holidays, and shutdowns, when required
Desired Skills/Nice To Have's:
** Experience working in controlled environments (paint booths, clean manufacturing spaces).
** Familiarity with airflow systems and environmental controls.
OSHA 10/30
Automotive paint process experience.
