Overview
NBext 150 Construction is seeking a Construction Project Manager I. The Construction Project Manager I is responsible for supporting the Senior Construction Project Manager and/or Construction Project Manager II in the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of a construction project, or serving in the lead role over a small project.Â
This is an on-site position requiring daily attendance in New Florence, MO.
Responsibilities
- Assists with the preparation and administration of the project safety planÂ
- Assists with the project controls and procedures and manages established risk mitigation processesÂ
- Creates and follows through on potential change items and participates in verification of project financial forecastÂ
- Creates and manages a project-specific quality plan aligned with the owner contract and contract documents and assists with executionÂ
- Creates and manages a closeout plan in alignment with the contract documents and assist with executionÂ
- Directs and supervises work of project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operational prioritiesÂ
- Assists in subcontracting strategy, supports scope writing and deliverables to ensure the integrity of the buyout processÂ
- Implements and enforces all aspects of contracts; participates in developing risk mitigation plan; prepares draft contracts, agreements, and purchase ordersÂ
- Participates in enrollment for insurance and bonds; tracks and obtains trade contractors' complianceÂ
- Provides support as needed to develop project estimate, design coordination efforts, and preparation of GMPÂ
- Prepares monthly schedule updates, including schedule analysis, and narratives for select packagesÂ
- Assists constructability and coordination reviewsÂ
- Develops a basic understanding of the local market areas and profiles to assist in creation of networking strategyÂ
- Collaborates closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies including performance metrics on your assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables;?participates in opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships that position Gilbane as the "Builder of Choice"Â
- Trains direct reports on processes, procedures, and completion of daily tasksÂ
- Manages workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with overall company standardsÂ
- Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team membersÂ
- Aids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reportsÂ

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Construction ManagementÂ
- 4-10 years of experienceÂ
- Or equivalent combination of education and experienceÂ
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong technical and communication skills are criticalÂ
- Ability to work in a team environmentÂ
- Knowledge of industry standard software and Microsoft Office preferredÂ
