Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, United States, for a Construction Project Manager. The Construction Project Manager will oversee project planning, execution, and completion to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. The responsibilities include consistent coordination with teams and stakeholders, managing construction schedules, maintaining quality standards, monitoring project progress, and addressing any challenges that arise during the construction process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed project schedules, setting milestones and monitoring progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Monitor and coordinate delivery, assembly, installation, and/or construction activities.
  • Maintain crucial well-rounded knowledge about the manufacturing process, materials, furniture/ millwork construction, and installation practices.
  • Lead project teams and resolve conflicts.
  • Understand and monitor cost of impacts of labor efforts and identify and manage the scope of the projects.
  • Update relevant stake holders or team members on the project progress.
  • Coordinate info and set expectations with trade partners supplying materials and finished components and/or services.
  • Lead the final punch list process and ensure project turnover meets client expectations.
  • Provide resolutions to mitigate any major delays and deliver on-track goods and services.
  • Ensure that goals or objectives of the project are accomplished within the contracted time frame.
  • Ensure all project activities are following governmental regulations and OSHA guidelines as directed by company policy.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies including good housekeeping practices, on-site safety inspections, safety rule compliance and incident reporting and investigations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or equivalent construction/millwork experience
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Construction/ Millwork Project Manager
  • Strong business acumen in project planning and management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage deadlines effectively
  • Strong verbal, written and organizational skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Strong attention to detail.
