CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER
CKL is currently seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about transportation construction, engineering, entrepreneurship, and who aspire to grow their career with our Construction Services Group in our Chicago office.
CKL is a multi-disciplinary professional services firm headquartered in Chicago, Illinois with offices in Atlanta and Orlando. We provide engineering and construction management services to a variety of public and private clients. CKL is looking for talented leaders to build upon our strengths and grow locally, regionally, and nationally.
EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
On a daily basis this individual will be asked to:
  • Serve as a Project Manager for select Construction Management Projects. This includes:
    • Managing budgets
    • Overseeing project staffing
    • Engaging, mentoring, and growing junior staff
    • Being a strong communicator with staff, colleagues, clients, and partners
  • Serve as a Resident Engineer / Assistant Resident Engineer as needed on projects. This means:
    • Using manuals, guidance, standards, and engineering judgment to provide construction engineering solutions on projects
    • Completing all documentation as required by our clients
    • Coordinating all inspection needs for the project within the framework of our scope of services
  • Work internally to pursue future construction work

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 4 years progressive CM experience
  • IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities Certification
  • Comfortable and experienced with technical and marketing writing
  • Client references needed
  • IDOT QC/QA certifications preferred
  • P.E. License preferred
