Knickerbocker Group is seeking an experienced and thoughtful Senior Construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex, high-end residential projects while providing an exceptional client experience.

This is a leadership role for someone who combines deep construction expertise with strong communication, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset. You will serve as a key point of connection between clients, design teams, and field staff, guiding projects from early planning through completion with clarity, professionalism, and care.

What You’ll Do Lead Client Experience & Team Collaboration
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a high level of service, responsiveness, and transparency throughout the project lifecycle
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships and guide clients through decisions, challenges, and changes with professionalism and sound judgment
  • Lead project and client meetings, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with Architecture, Interiors, Landscape Architecture, and field teams to support an integrated design-build approach
  • Foster a collaborative, solutions-oriented environment across internal teams and external partners
  • Mentor and support project team members, helping to strengthen project performance and professional growth
Drive Project Leadership & Execution
  • Lead multiple complex construction projects from pre-construction through closeout
  • Establish and maintain project plans, including schedules, milestones, and resource coordination
  • Monitor project performance across schedule, budget, quality, and safety, and guide the team in addressing risks and challenges
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure project progress, quality, and overall job site conditions align with expectations
  • Maintain accountability for overall project outcomes, including client experience
Guide Planning, Financials & Project Strategy
  • Partner with clients and design teams early in the project lifecycle to define scope, schedule, budget, and project goals
  • Review drawings and specifications to identify constructability considerations and cost impacts
  • Oversee estimating, budgeting, and procurement planning to align design intent with execution
  • Manage project budgets, contracts, and financial performance throughout the lifecycle
  • Oversee subcontractor and vendor engagement, including bid review, negotiation, and contract execution
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting
What You Bring
  • 10+ years of construction project management experience, including significant experience with high-end residential projects
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of emotional intelligence, with the ability to navigate client relationships and team dynamics effectively
  • Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and contract management
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Project, Procore, Acumatica, and/or Revit is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license required

The anticipated salary range for this position is $90,000 - $130,000 annually. Starting salary will be thoughtfully determined based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and skills, along with internal equity, and may fall anywhere within the posted range.
