POSITION SUMMARY:                

The Project Manager is responsible for safety, project direction, completion, and financial outcomes from initial budget through closeout. Strong safety, relationship-building, quality, and leadership skills are required. This role offers the opportunity to lead diverse projects and mentor junior staff.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT 

  • Work with Field Supervision and Project Management to set operational priorities and ensure safety and quality
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and exceeding client needs
  • Estimate, value engineer and develop project budgets
  • Manage subcontractor bidding, including documentation processing, distribution, and tracking
  • Use software tools and templates to process, distribute, and track project documentation
  • Negotiate subcontractor and material buyout; develop and negotiate subcontracts
  • Plan and schedule projects
  • Manage active projects, including subcontractor coordination, conflict resolution, and documentation
  • Manage project costs by evaluating labor, materials, and equipment; forecast costs, exposures, and profitability through completion
  • Perform project closeout
  • Capable of managing projects $20-$50 million in size

LEADERSHIP

  • Lead by building relationships, motivating others, providing clear direction, and promoting teamwork
  • Supervise/mentor project management staff
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Train and mentor less experienced personnel

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Interact with clients and potential clients to identify and pursue potential work
  • Prepare and participate in client presentations and project interviews
  • Negotiate and secure new business

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years’ construction management experience in commercial, industrial, institutional, data centers or related markets
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships.
  • Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office applications.
