Job description

The Steel Nation Project Coordinator for Construction role is an exciting opportunity to join the regionโ€™s premier construction and engineering firm. The Project Coordinator will plan, execute, and finalize projects within budget and deadlines, while serving as the central and focal point between sales, customers, engineering/design, suppliers & contractors, and operations.

Responsibilities
  • Review customer Purchase Order/Subcontract Agreement and Steel Nation quotation documents to prepare the overall project Scope of Work.
  • Validate all Supplier and Subcontractor quotes and lead times.
  • Coordinate with Director of Pre-Construction to prepare supplier and subcontractor list and develop means to control its contents.
  • Maintain a Project Status log showing current status of projects with Milestones.
  • Issue Request for Quotes (RFQโ€™s), Purchase Orders and Subcontract Agreements as required, including revisions.
  • Initiate RFI log and manage RFI process.
  • Prepare work scope package and schedule for third party engineering activity.
  • Interface with manufacturers/sales/customers to support Project Schedule and Budget and resolve open issues.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Prior construction project control experience preferred
  • Safety orientation with a quality focus; desire to continuously learn and participate in related trainings/certifications
  • Excellent organizational and time management ability
  • Proven detail-oriented and analytical skills
  • Excellent relationship building, customer service, and communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office Suite programs; design software knowledge preferred
  • Valid driverโ€™s license, some local travel to sites as needed
