Overview of YOUR Role as a Quality Control Officer Our client is executing a large-scale energy conservation project at Robins Air Force Base, encompassing mechanical and electrical construction, LED lighting retrofits, HVAC system upgrades, and renovations in occupied government facilities. As the Quality Control Officer, you will own the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) program on this federal/DoD project - ensuring all work meets plans, specifications, and USACE standards from first installation through final punch list. As a Quality Control Officer, YOU Will: -Manage and administer the Contractor Quality Control (CQC) program in full compliance with USACE requirements.

-Execute the Three Phases of Control - Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up - for all definable features of work across mechanical, electrical, and LED lighting retrofit scopes. -Conduct and document field inspections to verify work quality and compliance with contract drawings and specifications. -Manage submittal logs, ensuring timely review, approval, and incorporation of submittals, shop drawings, and product data.

-Coordinate required testing and inspection activities; track results and ensure deficiencies are documented and resolved. -Maintain the project deficiency log and punch list; drive corrective actions to closure. -Serve as the primary point of contact with the Government Quality Assurance Representative (QAR) for all quality-related matters.

-Prepare and maintain daily QC reports, inspection records, and all CQC documentation required by the contract and USACE. -Coordinate with subcontractors and field supervisors to proactively address quality issues before they become deficiencies. -Support commissioning, startup, and final acceptance activities for mechanical and HVAC systems.

YOU Are the Ideal Quality Control Officer Candidate If You Have: -5-10 years of quality control experience on construction projects, with experience managing a formal CQC program. -USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) Certification - Army Corps QC Certification ((required to have after being hired, it is a 4-day course). -Demonstrated experience executing the Three Phases of Control on federal or DoD construction projects.

-Experience managing quality on mechanical, electrical, or MEP construction scopes. -Strong documentation skills with the ability to maintain thorough, audit-ready QC records. -Familiarity with federal contract requirements, RFIs, submittal processes, and government QA coordination.

-Excellent communication and coordination skills with subcontractors, project management, and government representatives. It's a BONUS If You Have: -Experience on DoD, USACE, or federal facility renovation or energy conservation projects. -Background in LED lighting retrofits or HVAC/mechanical system upgrades.

-Experience managing quality in occupied government or military facilities. -Familiarity with design-build project delivery and associated QC coordination requirements. -Prior work on Robins AFB or other Air Force installations.
