Construction Project Manager / Estimator

Eden Prairie, MN | Direct Hire | $90,000–$120,000+

Konik is partnering with a family-owned commercial design-build general contractor, seeking to add a Construction Project Manager / Estimator to their growing team. They delivers commercial construction solutions throughout the Twin Cities and Upper Midwest, specializing in design-build projects, renovations, tenant improvements, and complex commercial developments.

This role is ideal for a construction professional who enjoys being involved early in the project lifecycle, from conceptual planning and estimating through construction execution and closeout. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams to develop practical solutions, manage project delivery, and build long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial design-build projects from initial concept and preconstruction through completion and closeout
  • Prepare conceptual estimates, budgets, proposals, and project scopes while identifying constructability considerations and value opportunities
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle
  • Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to evaluate scope, costs, and execution plans
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, subcontractor coordination, procurement activities, and overall project performance
  • Support project planning, permitting, material selection, and construction execution
  • Lead client meetings, project updates, and communication throughout all phases of delivery
  • Assist with project closeout, including punch lists, final documentation, and turnover activities

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, estimating, or preconstruction
  • General contractor experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with design-build construction, tenant improvements, renovations, or commercial projects preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, subcontractor coordination, and project budgeting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
  • Experience with Procore or similar construction management software is a plus
