Job description

MARS Solutions Group is looking for an experienced Construction Project Coordinator located in Chicago, IL. Our client is a Utility and Natural gas industry Leader looking for high-quality talent to make a difference. Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Coordinator to support utility operations by coordinating field activities, assisting with emergency response, supporting construction projects, and maintaining operational systems. This role serves as a key liaison between office staff, field personnel, contractors, and customers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

The ideal candidate has previous field operations experience within the utility, construction, or infrastructure industry and is comfortable working in office, field, and dispatch environments.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily operational activities to support utility field operations and infrastructure projects.

Assist with emergency response activities by coordinating field resources and communicating with internal teams.

Schedule field crews, contractors, inspections, and work assignments.

Maintain and update operational databases, work management systems, and customer information.

Process work orders, permits, and other required documentation.

Perform accurate data entry and maintain project records.

Communicate with customers, contractors, and field personnel to provide project updates and resolve operational issues.

Collect and document field information to support project tracking and reporting.

Monitor project progress and provide administrative support for construction and maintenance activities.

Support dispatch operations, including responding to urgent operational needs and coordinating field personnel.

Complete multiple assignments while maintaining a high level of accuracy and organization.

Follow company safety policies and operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Previous field experience in utility operations, construction, infrastructure, public works, or a related industry.

Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based work management systems.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
