Help Build Projects That Matter

At Sellen, successful construction projects depend on exceptional teamwork and our Project Assistants are at the center of it all. As the information hub of the project team, you'll keep people connected, documentation organized, and critical project information moving from preconstruction through project closeout.

Working alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, and Project Engineers, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of complex commercial construction projects while building relationships with clients, design partners, subcontractors, and colleagues.

If you're highly organized, enjoy solving problems, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day is different, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do
As a Project Assistant, you'll help keep projects running smoothly by:
  • Creating and maintaining organized project files and document management systems.
  • Preparing, distributing, and tracking subcontracts through execution.
  • Maintaining project logs, reports, and other project documentation.
  • Supporting project communication by ensuring timely, accurate distribution of information to project teams, subcontractors, clients, and design partners.
  • Coordinating administrative processes from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Serving as the first point of contact for the project office, providing professional customer service to employees, visitors, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Supporting project meetings, correspondence, and office operations.
  • Assisting the project team with administrative needs that contribute to successful project delivery.

Location: Full-time at the jobsite project office or at Sellen's main office, depending on business need and you may move between the sites over the course of tenure.

You must be able to pass a motor vehicle record check for driving authorization of Sellen's vehicles.

Your Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar administrative or project support role, ideally with project-based timelines and external-facing clients.
  • Associate's Degree or higher.
  • Experience in Construction, Architecture, Engineering, or similar industries preferred.
Knowledge
  • MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams competency required).
  • Scheduling activities with multiple people using Outlook.
  • SharePoint for project document storage, sharing, and version control.
  • Bluebeam or Adobe Acrobat for PDF creation, markup, and document set management.
  • Procore or comparable cloud-based construction management software.
  • General accounting software for invoice coding and to support a variety of functions for the project team.
  • Working knowledge of construction management and job costing practices.

The full pay range for this position is $29/hr to $36/hr. New hires typically start between $29/hr and $33/hr, depending on direct professional experience and qualifications. Sellen's bonus plan is funded based on company performance, awarded based on individual performance, and the bonus target for this role is 5% of salary.
