Job description

You will serve as a CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Construction Division of the Planning, Design, and Construction (PDC) Directorate of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.Qualifications:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Using knowledge of construction trades to provide recommendations regarding construction materials, tools, and equipment used for facilities maintenance;
2) Performing administrative work to provide material, services, equipment, and contract support for construction projects;
3) Providing assistance, training, and technical guidance to other construction managers as appropriate, exercising management and administrative skills in the execution of construction projects;
4) Reading and interpreting blueprints, work orders, and schematics to determine the extent to which parts, materials, tools, and equipment are interchangeable; and
5) Managing multiple priorities and independently develop and provide technical recommendations/solutions to complex problems encountered during the administration of the construction contracts.
