The Team you are joining:
The Delivery team is responsible for the full construction lifecycle, following handoff from the development team who is responsible for pre-construction planning and entitlement. The delivery function manages scope, schedule, budget, and risk mitigation throughout construction, commissioning, and turnover to operations with the ultimate goal of delivering scalable future ready solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers in line with commercial performance targets. The delivery team executes on the vision and global products generated by the Product and Innovation teams while providing cost and schedule inputs for their future outputs.
Summary:
The Vice President of Delivery (Construction) is a leadership role responsible executing the delivery strategy for Ada's construction development in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. The successful candidate will leverage a combination of strategic oversight and hands-on leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations, while remaining aligned with Ada's technical, commercial, and operational objectives. The role works cross-functionally with Development, Design, Sales, Finance, Operations, EHS, and ESG and represents Delivery leadership in customer and executive engagements.
In this role, you will have people management responsibilities and be expected to build a high-performing team, with a combination of both internal and augmented team members. As a means to benefit from best practices and shared learning, you will also coordinate with parallel delivery leaders across the globe.
Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for the end-to-end delivery of the data center construction program including but not limited to leading the tender/contractor selection, construction and power delivery, coordinating LLE purchase and delivery, completing commissioning, project turnover and turnover to operations
  • Lead, develop and manage resource allocation of a high-performing delivery team comprised of internal and external team members
  • Establish and continuously refine delivery processes, governance, and controls to support scalable execution
  • Ensure construction activities are planned and executed in alignment with Ada core requirements and all regional, site-specific, and regulatory EHS requirements, including permitting, environmental management plans, and job hazard analysis
  • Champion a proactive safety culture by setting clear expectations, leading by example, and ensuring safety is treated as a core value rather than compliance exercise activities
  • Collaborate with the Development, Design and Project Controls teams to ensure constructability, cost certainty, and schedule integrity throughout the project lifecycle including identifying cost optimization and prefabrication opportunities on each project phase
  • Own delivery-related financial outcomes including capital budgets, forecasting, variance analysis, PO/invoice review & substantiation and facilitation of construction related vendor onboarding like NDA's, Global Purchase Agreements (GPAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs)
  • Support Sales in leasing pursuits through customer discussions, construction specific RFP response support, lease-driven requirements, and delivery commitments
  • Report regularly to executive leadership on project status, risks, opportunities, and performance metrics leveraging P6 and Procore as primary sources of truth
  • Ensure lessons learned and continuous improvement are incorporated at each project stage, phase to phase and campus to campus

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, or a related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience delivering complex, capital-intensive construction projects with at least 5+ years in leadership/management
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale CSA and MEP-intensive programs; data center or mission-critical facilities experience required
  • Proven ability to manage complex construction projects with geographically distributed SME support teams
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing large capital budgets and contractual risk
  • Deep understanding of construction means and methods, sequencing, and delivery models
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments with evolving priorities
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate and influence across functions and externally with partners and customers
  • This role is expected to be full-time onsite at our Spotsylvania, Virginia campus. Travel may be required to support business needs.

Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role.
$215,000.00 - $250,000.00
