Job description

V3 Companies, a multidisciplinary AEC firm, is seeking a Project Surveyor, where you will contribute to career-defining projects that reimagine our built and natural world. This is a remote opportunity for the following locations: CO, FL, IN, MI, MO, NE, NC, OH, SC, TN, WI


You'll change the shape of your community by charting plans that become tomorrow's places, creating impact that lasts. And, as part of our Survey team, you will collaborate with 450+ designers, engineers, and scientists to make meaningful, effective change across North America.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Primarily perform CAD tasks in the preparation of construction surveys, layout calculations, ALTA, boundary, topographic, and specialized surveys.
  • Prepare and coordinate construction layout calculations for field staff.
  • Manage CAD generated surface models and produce accurate contours, cross sections and profile drawings.
  • Perform project research and setup.

We're looking for:

  • Minimum of 3 years practical experience performing similar work.
  • Degree or courses in related area is a plus.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Ability to competently read civil, architectural, and structural drawings, including complex details, and successfully interpret for construction layout.
  • Communicate with clients, accommodate client work requests, and create work order instructions for field staff.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Work independently with little instruction.
