Civil Construction Pipelayer Job Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

We are seeking a skilled Civil Construction Pipelayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in pipe installation, and utility locating.

A Advanced Septic and Construction Services is currently looking to add an experienced and talented Civil Construction Pipelayer to our Civil Construction Team.

Qualified Candidates must be well established and knowledgeable in ALL aspects of the job, including water, sewer, and storm.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on active jobsites with a team to safely and productively complete civil, storm, sewer, and water projects
  • Complete demolition, excavation, and installation of utilities
  • Operate gas chop saws, plate compactors, jumping jacks, pumps, and other handheld power tools
  • Efficiently read an engineer tape and level
  • Maintain a clean and organized jobsite
  • Work with site plans to install underground utilities
  • Able to set up pipe and rotator laser and use efficiently
  • Calculate and set grades and slopes
  • Work safely in and around trench boxes, shoring systems, and steel plates
  • Keep company equipment properly serviced and clean
  • Communicate effectively throughout projects with peers and supervisors as needed or directed
  • Perform general labor duties as assigned and/or as the workload dictates
  • Work in adverse weather and site conditions
  • Install various sizes and types of pipes ¾” to 24”
  • Familiar with the installation of different size structures within storm and sewer systems

  • Operate heavy equipment such as front loaders, excavators, onsite dump trucks, forklifts, and sweepers
  • Keep company equipment serviced and cleaned
  • Conduct daily inspections on equipment ensuring safety and reliability
  • Read and interpret site plans to determine the layout of pipes
  • Be able to safely move/install steel plates and shoring boxes
  • Communicate effectively throughout projects with peers and supervisors as needed or directed
  • Be able to work in tight areas around existing utilities
  • Comfortable installing various sized concrete structures associated with storm and sewer systems
  • Confidently operate closely to individuals and buildings safely without incidents

Requirements:

  • Have 3 years minimum of operating experience
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to meet MVR requirements
  • Outstanding Attendance
  • Must be able to read engineers tape and level
  • Proficiency in operating heavy equipment including excavators, front loader, backhoe, onsite trucks, sweepers and forklifts
  • Ability to read and interpret site plans accurately
  • Knowledge and experience in operating around existing utilities
  • Experience with pipe lasers for precise alignment
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols in a construction environment
  • Must be willing to perform general labor duties as assigned and/or as the workload dictates
  • Work in adverse weather and site conditions
