How You'll Contribute
As a Skilled Laborer, you'll be an essential part of our field team, ensuring our job sites are clean, safe, and properly prepared for what's next. Your contributions will help set the tone for high-quality work and an exceptional client experience.
Demolition & Site Preparation
  • Perform physical labor to assist with interior demolition and site prep.
  • Remove materials such as sheetrock, ceiling grid/tiles, flooring, and adhesives.
  • Operate tools and machinery (e.g., chipping hammers, jackhammers, sawzalls, floor scrapers) safely and efficiently.

Safety & Professionalism
  • Follow and uphold all safety rules, procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
  • Wear job-appropriate clothing and represent Gardner with professionalism at all times.

Team Support & Accountability
  • Collaborate with other trades and field teams to keep projects running smoothly.
  • Bring proper tools to each job and complete daily timecards accurately.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
This role requires sustained physical activity and comfort with a variety of job site conditions. You'll regularly walk, stand, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use your hands and arms in repetitive movements. Visual and auditory awareness is essential for safety and communication. You must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds and work with tools and equipment such as hand tools, chipping hammers, jackhammers, Sawzalls, cordless impacts, floor scrapers, and floor scrubbers. Climbing ladders, working on scaffolding, and maneuvering in tight or elevated spaces may be necessary, and physical exertion should be expected throughout the day. Reasonable accommodations will be made to support individuals with disabilities in performing essential job functions.
While performing these duties, you may be exposed to various weather conditions including heat, cold, and humidity, depending on the season and job site. Renovation work may involve exposure to dust, noise, or hazardous materials within existing structures. At times, the environment may be unusually loud or dusty, and all appropriate safety measures will be in place to ensure your well-being.
