PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Accomplish task in a safe and productive manner providing a positive construction experience for our patrons.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Practice proper construction methods with on the job training

Ability to properly use hand and power tools, climb ladders, and measure and square projects without direct supervision in the construction of commercial or farm buildings and/or grain systems.  

Able to use necessary equipment to complete projects:

  • Forklifts 
  • Backhoe 
  • Trencher 
  • Scissor Lift 
  • Various power and other operating tools 

Complete jobs in a timely, safe manner.

Perform necessary maintenance on trucks and equipment.

Keep clean and safe job sites.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Attend company and department meetings and training programs.

Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 1 year or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of construction skills.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Continuously exposed or required to:

  • Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
  • Noisy conditions
  • Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures
  • Work at varying heights
  • Confined spaces
  • Lift 71-100 lbs
  • Push heavy objects.

Ability to work hours other than those considered normal to meet seasonal demands.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
