SUMMARY OF OPPORTUNITY:
The General Construction Laborer will report to the General Construction superintendent and provide support throughout a construction project which includes general trades responsibilities. This person must understand the general construction trade, power tools and safety procedures. A General Construction laborer needs to have the ability to be flexible as this position may perform various functions throughout a shift. Jostin requires all employees to work collaboratively as a team with not only other Jostin employees but also our trade partners.
Job Responsibilities:
  • General Cleaning
  • Material Handling- Handle materials in a safe manner
  • Assist with placing temporary barricades.
  • Complete and maintain equipment certifications.
  • Assist with grout and caulking.
  • General knowledge of tools and equipment
  • Ensure tools and equipment are cleaned, accounted for, and maintained
  • Ability to safely operate power tools
  • Assist carpenters with various tasks
  • Participate in weekly toolbox talks
  • Heavy demo experience

Experience & Other Qualifications:
  • Meet the classification requirements of a laborer 1
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to successfully pass a drug screening
  • The ability to work irregular hours including weekends when necessary
  • The ability to work in harsh weather conditions for long periods of time
  • The ability to exert oneself physically over long periods of time without getting winded or out of breath
  • The ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing
