Location: Ft. Rucker, AL

Quality Assurance duties / requirements:

Provide quality assurance support over construction projects to facilities management department to include the oversight of the maintenance and operations of the facility. Additional duties include but are not limited to:

Duties:
  • Ensure work meets and requirements of plans and specifications.
  • Maintain construction documentation such as financial information, communications, purchase orders, and notes.
  • Attend and participate in progress meetings and report problems and recommendations to the Facility Manager.
  • Review submittals, shop drawings and samples for approval or disapproval.
  • Perform onsite surveillance of construction activities and inspect contractor quality control activities.
  • Maintain progress photos of the project.
  • Review and evaluate change order recommendations.
  • Aid in preparing punch lists.
  • Review as built drawings.
  • Prepare reports and perform special projects as required by the Facility Manager.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Provide a daily Quality Assurance report documenting conditions and progress.
  • Coordinate work between the contractors and the laboratory entities.
  • Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Must have working knowledge of medical design criteria, Uniform Facility Criteria (UFC’s), NIH Design Requirements and Federal Building Code requirements.
  • Must have UFGS and EM 38511 Safety requirement experience.
  • Must be able to read and understand drawings and specifications for boiler, roof and HVAC duct replacement projects.
  • Candidates should have a USACE CQM training certificate or ability to get certified.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ construction quality assurance experience
