Job description

We have an opening for a Field Representative to join our Civil Engineering Department in our Savannah, GA office.

 
Typical Dutues
  • Performs routine construction observation services for land development projects involving utilities and pavement construction under periodic supervision.
  • Serves as a liaison between the supervisor or Project Manager and contractor.
  • Assists Project Managers in effectively administering construction contracts.
  • Seeks appropriate guidance in resolving various project-related issues.
  • Prepares project related correspondence as appropriate.
  • Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
  • Manages time effectively in order to meet project deadlines and client needs.
  • Visits project sites to review conditions as appropriate.
  • Attends and participates at meetings on behalf of the company with clients, contractors or resource agencies as appropriate.
  • Arranges and conducts job progress meetings.
  • Maintains daily job log and is completely familiar with plans and specifications.
  • Has some initial supervised exposure to clients.
  • Other duties as necessary and/or assigned by supervisor.
  • Overnight or extended travel may be required for occasional projects pending locations.
Education
Construction Management Degree or High School Diploma and equivalent experience.
Experience
Previous internship or experience in the construction field. 
Skills
  • Familiar with erosion, sedimentation, and pollution control, CEPCI certification a plus.
  • Familiar with pavement construction.
  • Ability to understand project plans and specifications
  • Strong communication, verbal and written skills
  • Ability to produce concise reporting
  • Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record
