What You'll Do
As Construction Engineering Manager, you'll:
  • Lead construction engineering services for commercial, municipal, industrial, transportation, and land development projects.
  • Provide engineering support throughout active construction.
  • Develop practical solutions for unforeseen field conditions.
  • Design retaining walls, foundation systems, and specialty structural components.
  • Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Evaluate existing structures and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with civil engineers, geotechnical engineers, surveyors, inspectors, contractors, and project managers.
  • Participate in construction meetings with owners, contractors, and design professionals.
  • Mentor engineers and technical staff.
  • Review engineering deliverables for quality and technical accuracy.
  • Assist with proposals, project scoping, and fee development.
  • Help establish technical standards and best practices for the Construction Engineering group.
  • Support business development through strong client relationships and technical expertise.
  • Assist in recruiting, developing, and growing the Construction Engineering team.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Construction Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience supporting projects during active construction.
  • Strong understanding of retaining walls, foundation systems, construction practices, and field problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to mentor engineers and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Salary Range: $135,000-$155,000 annually
