Regional Manager โ€“ Construction & Engineering

Direct Hire Opportunity with Superior Skilled Trades

Superior Skilled Trades is seeking an experienced Regional Manager for a direct hire opportunity with an established specialty construction and engineering company. This leadership position will oversee regional project execution, client relationships, business development, and operational performance.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in engineering, construction project management, and technical leadership, with the ability to manage multiple projects, develop client relationships, mentor teams, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead regional construction projects from contract award through completion.
  • Oversee and support Project Managers and Superintendents across assigned projects.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, WIP, billing, collections, change orders, and overall financial performance.
  • Conduct project reviews, site visits, schedule reviews, and coordination meetings.
  • Develop relationships with clients, general contractors, municipalities, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Partner with business development and estimating teams to identify opportunities and develop successful bid strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance during project development, design, and construction.
  • Review and approve technical submittals, designs, shop drawings, and project approaches as needed.
  • Mentor and develop regional team members while promoting safety, quality, accountability, and operational efficiency.
  • Support project recovery efforts and proactively address schedule, financial, or execution challenges.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related ABET/EAC-accredited program with 3+ years of relevant experience; OR 5+ years of engineering, construction project management, or construction engineering experience.
  • Strong construction project management and leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of project financials, WIP, billing, scheduling, change orders, and cost control.
  • Strong client relationship and business development skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams across a region.
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel regularly, including overnight travel.
Preferred Experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Technical sales or business development experience.
  • Experience with prestressed concrete tanks, water/wastewater infrastructure, concrete structures, rehabilitation, or specialty construction.
  • Knowledge of AWWA D110 wire-wound prestressed concrete tank design and construction is highly preferred.
