Job description

The Mechanical Inspector will report directly to the Chief Inspector, Construction Manager or Client Representative. The Mechanical Inspector's duties and responsibilities require that they will be both knowledgeable and experienced in compressor piping hook-up and all piping in station or plant.


Primary Functions:


  • Perform duties as designated by the Construction Engineer in accordance with job requirements outlined in the assigned activity.
  • Maintain Client Company quality control standards and records.
  • Assure that contractor adheres to the Client specifications, federal and state and safety codes.
  • Advise Construction Engineer of all decisions, problems and any alternatives in the assigned activity.
  • Assure that all piping, valves, flanges, etc. are properly installed in the correct ladel contents for the pressure and M.A.O.P.
  • Assure that contractor and Client keep a good working relationship.


Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 5 years' experience and working knowledge of all piping and facility design.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local specifications.
  • Knowledge of compressor piping hook-up and all piping in station or plant.
