What is a construction draw inspection?

A Construction Draw Inspections job involves evaluating a construction project's progress to ensure it aligns with the approved loan or budget. Lenders rely on these inspections before releasing scheduled payments to contractors or developers. The goal is to mitigate financial risk and ensure the project stays on track.

Familiarity with project management software, inspection checklists, and sometimes certifications like OSHA or ICC are valuable assets. Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and organizational skills help inspectors collaborate effectively with contractors and lenders. These competencies ensure accurate project assessments, timely fund releases, and uphold quality and safety standards on construction sites.

What does a construction draw inspection do?

Professionals in Construction Draw Inspections typically visit active construction sites to verify project progress, document completed work, and ensure alignment with approved plans before lender funds are released. Daily tasks include reviewing contractor submissions, taking detailed site photographs, and preparing comprehensive inspection reports for lenders or project owners.
