Job description

We are seeking a full‐time Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of civil litigation experience to join our Houston law firm. This immediate opening is ideal for a lawyer interested in construction defect litigation, general civil litigation, and property damage disputes. The role offers meaningful responsibility, courtroom experience, and the opportunity to grow your career in a supportive Houston‐based litigation team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage litigation matters involving construction defects, property damage, commercial litigation, contract disputes, and general civil litigation
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and fact witnesses
  • Appear in Harris County, surrounding Texas state courts, and federal courts for hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategy with senior attorneys
  • Communicate directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • 3–5 years of experience as a litigation attorney
  • Interest/experience in construction defect litigation, commercial litigation, or insurance defense
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple cases
