An established AV-rated litigation defense firm with more than 25 years of success in Texas is seeking an experienced Construction Defect Litigation Associate to join its growing Construction Defect practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys managing their own cases while collaborating with an experienced litigation team. You'll work on sophisticated construction defect matters in both Texas state and federal courts representing developers, contractors, insurers, and commercial clients.
What You'll Do
- Independently manage a litigation docket from inception through resolution
- Handle construction defect litigation matters in state and federal court
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and dispositive motions
- Take and defend depositions
- Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial proceedings
- Communicate directly with clients and insurance carriers, providing regular case updates
- Develop litigation strategy alongside experienced partners
- Collaborate with paralegals and legal support staff to efficiently move cases forward
What We're Looking For
- J.D. and active Texas Bar license
- 3–5+ years of civil litigation experience
- Construction defect litigation experience strongly preferred
- Ability to independently manage a busy litigation docket
- Experience practicing in Texas state courts
- Federal Court admission (USDC) preferred but not required
- Experience with or exposure to arbitration proceedings preferred
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and client communication skills
