Job description

Williams Contracting, Inc. is seeking a working traveling sitework foreman to oversee (2) laborers for a series of short duration safety projects. The projects include installing crash-rated steel pipe bollards and some highway guardrail in front of daycare buildings and playgrounds. Our customer manages over 2,000 centers across the country and many of the centers have been or will be affected by this safety initiative. The safety barrier project is one of many services that Williams provides to our customer. A successful Foreman with Williams must be willing to learn other construction services that we provide to assist our other crews as needed. Bilingual preferred.
Our ideal candidate is organized and can execute from conceptual plans and reports to achieve the customers ultimate goals. Candidate must be able to layout sites with assistance of project management. Familiarity with Ditch Witch type of equipment is a plus. Must be able to effectively communicate with project management as well as center directors. Work must be coordinated with the center director to minimize the impact on parents dropping children off (6 am to 9 am) and picking children up (3:30 to 6:00 pm). Must be able to install bollards in straight, plumb, and evenly spaced lines. Jobsite must be clean and organized to minimize the disturbance to the continuing operation of the center. Continual cleanup may be required. Because of the cost of travel, Williams requires a "zero punch list" upon completion of our Projects.
Working around daycare centers requires workers to be presentable. Professional conduct, including using foul language, will not be tolerated. Special care is needed to isolate the work from the public using barriers and tape. Tools, especially sharp items such as razor blades, knives, bits, etc, will need to be secure at all times for the safety of the children.
Our crews generally work 10 days on with 4 days off. Workdays may be extended if a Project needs to be completed. Other related information regarding per diem, etc. will be discussed for interested candidates.
