Job description

Position Summary

Amerine Utilities Construction, “Amerine” is seeking hardworking and dependable Telecom Construction Laborers to support fiber optic and telecommunications construction projects throughout Kansas and surrounding areas. This position assists crews with underground telecom construction, jobsite preparation, equipment handling, and general labor duties associated with fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), utility, and broadband infrastructure projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Assist construction crews with installation of fiber optic and telecommunications infrastructure

· Perform manual labor including digging, trenching, backfilling, and site cleanup

· Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment

· Support directional boring, cable pulling, conduit placement, and handhole installation

· Operate hand tools, power tools, compactors, and other construction equipment safely

· Assist with traffic control setup and maintenance

· Maintain clean and organized jobsites and vehicles

· Follow all OSHA, company, and customer safety standards

· Work collaboratively with supervisors, operators, foremen, and other crew members

· Travel to job locations as required

· Perform other duties as assigned
