Position Description
As a seasonal Service Technician based in the Rochester, MN area, you will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment, trucks, and support vehicles. You'll work at project sites, helping minimize downtime and keep operations running safely and efficiently during the construction season.
This role is ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while supporting a team-oriented environment in and around Rochester.
What You'll Do
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment and commercial vehicles
  • Inspect and service bulldozers, motor graders, excavators, scrapers, loaders, skid steers, compactors, backhoes, side dumps and dump trucks
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues in both shop and field environments
  • Repair and replace tires on heavy equipment and trucks
  • Complete work orders and maintenance documentation accurately
  • Operate shop equipment and diagnostic tools safely and effectively
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Opportunity to assist with winter maintenance operations and seasonal fleet preparation
  • Travel to Rochester-area project sites as needed to support field operations
  • Communicate repair needs, parts requirements, and equipment status clearly with supervisors and team members

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
